Above & Beyond Students

I grew up watching my mother take care of other people’s children. I saw her love and nurture children that did not belong to her. I believe this experience instilled in me the idea that we are responsible for all children, not just the ones that we give birth to. While volunteering in my children’s school I saw too many children who were not reading on grade level, behind academically, and with low self-esteem. I believe that God placed me in this environment to open my eyes to the needs surrounding low income, inner city students, and the need to provide additional educational opportunities for children. From this, God placed a vision in my heart to start an after school tutoring and mentoring program to help students excel academically and socially, and to also help families connect to the educational system so they will be equipped to help their children succeed academically.

Above and Beyond Students is about helping students and families go above and beyond: Academically, Socially, Financially, Emotionally, Physically. We offer biblically based character development to those who desire.
